Preparing Peaceful Food for the Holidays


EVENT: Sunday, December 18 from 2:00–6:00pm

Peaceful food is prepared in peaceful kitchens. From this comes peaceful people who create a peaceful world…

As we enter the Holiday season, we will celebrate traditional ways of eating by preparing meals that emphasize natural and whole foods such as grains, land and sea vegetables, legumes, beans and bean products, seasonal fruits, seeds, nuts and vegetable oils.

The menu will include such favorites as tofurkey with herbed stuffing, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, millet pancakes, tempeh rolls and cranberry, apple/pear crisp.

We will:
• serve nutritious whole foods cooked with local ingredients
• discuss the underlying philosophy and lifestyle
• share recipes and sources of ingredients
• give instruction on how to incorporate more whole foods into your current diet

Taught by Swami Omkarananda and Rev. Peter Rood (Pranava)

Donation: $15 to cover the cost of ingredients
